In July, Anson and I went on a road trip with my sister and her new husband, Matt!! We went for three nights and went to Pennsylvania and New York City and then home again. There are a lot of pictures, so enjoy:)

We left a little after 5 AM to drive the 9 hours to Pennsylvania. We were going to see "In the Beginning" and had to be there by 4 PM!

My crazy sister brought all kinds of fruit with her, but since you can't take fruit over the border she decided to try to eat it all---when we were about 2 minutes from the border! There was no way it was gonna happen!

Matt is telling her that she is never gonna finish them in time!

Outside after the play! When it was done, we got back in the car and drove to Princeton, New Jersey for the night.

The next morning we went to see Princeton University. It was a magnificent campus...and extremely large!

We left Princeton and went to our hotel, checked in, and then headed into New York City for the rest of the day!

The All Star game had been two nights before so there were Statues of Liberty everywhere! We took pictures of all the ones that we saw!!

The guys with their fake Stanley Cups!

The guys leaving Trump Tower where we stopped for our millionth Starbucks run of the day! It was over a hundred degrees when we were there....SO HOT! But, at least we had my sister's starbucks discount to help us out:)

Our hotel in New Jersey just across the water from the city...one of the nicest hotels ever! And a great deal thanks to hotwire!

My sister wasn't with me, but I had to get a picture with one more statue!

We went to the Yankees game!

We were sitting right behind the Oakland A's bullpen, and my sister and I spent most of the time waving and trying to get their attention!

Greg and his dad were from California and came to the game! Greg got the guys in the bullpen to throw him a ball. So CAB told him to get her one too....he finally did! And then awhile later he got another ball from them and gave it to me:) We were SOOO excited!! When the game was over I pulled out my black Sharpie--that just happened to be in my purse--and yelled and yelled, but couldn't get my baseball signed:( Oh, well...it made for an exciting night!!!

The subway was unbelievably packed. There was barely room to breathe and half the time you were stuffed underneath some guy's sweaty armpit. YUCK! It started to become hilarious though as the entire car would erupt in cheers when someone got off at a stop...."We lost one....We lost one!"

We got back to our hotel around 1 AM and had to leave for our next hotel which was about half an hour away...it was worth it though because I bid on priceline for it and we got the rooms for $35 each. What a deal!! And...it was a very nice hotel (the Hyatt Regency). We had a great time on our little trip...and recovered from our major lack of sleep eventually!!!

Oh what fun! It's incredible all the things you did in such a short time. I bet you were exhausted! :)
I love these pictures! I have never been to NYC, but I would love to sometime. You've just wet my appetite a bit more.
Hi Allison,
I just want you to know that we love you guys, and are praying for you in a special way today.
