"GUESS WHAT AIMEE DID WHILE YOU WERE TEACHING?"

I had just finished teaching some lessons and Anson greeted me with those words as I walked up the stairs. Because my children never do anything wrong (!), I thought perhaps Aimee had done something wonderful. I calmly asked what she did and Anson told me that she cut her hair. "It's okay," I thought, "her little scissors wouldn't cut much." I then asked what scissors she used and was told that she did NOT use her scissors...she used the good scissors. I went upstairs to find Aimee in her beautiful Cinderella dress sobbing on her bed--I think she knew she was in serious trouble. Her hair was chopped...the front is super short, some of the back is gone and then some of the back is still long. MY SISTER'S WEDDING IS IN THREE WEEKS. I started to panic and even cry a little. I was ready to just cut the rest all off, but Anson insisted that I shouldn't touch it. I packed Aimee up into the car and took her to Expressions, the Salon (they'd probably charge me $40 to cut her hair, but I didn't care!). They looked at her hair and said there was nothing they could do. They trimmed the long side a little so it wasn't as obvious but told me to try to curl it and see what I could do until the wedding! We went home and I started curling! I got it up and it looked cute...PRAISE THE LORD! Now we just have to deal with it for three weeks and then it is getting cut...and Aimee will never be touching another pair of scissors again--possibly for the rest of her life.

Here are the pics...pardon the Doritos, etc in the bathroom! At least the mullet is sort of back in style:)

UPDATE....

I think that I am finally up to date now with this blog! I really cannot stay on top of it!!

The next few weeks are going to be busy! We have cantata practices starting this week up until the cantata! "The Story of Christmas" will be on Friday, December 7th at 7:30 PM and Sunday, December 9th at 6:00 PM. Anson & I are Joseph and Mary again this year! Feel free to watch online at www.faithway.org on either of those two nights!

After the cantata we have just 5 days until my sister's wedding! I am so excited for her and Matt! The girls are snow princesses, I am the matron of honour and Anson is a groomsman! Aimee is SO excited and Chloe doesn't really have a clue! It is going to be such a fun day! Check out their website at www.bakerbowlerwedding.com for lots of pictures and such!!

Oh...I forgot to mention that we got a new car!! Ours died on the Saturday of our Missions Conference--just a couple weeks ago. It was rather depressing being told it would cost 4 grand to fix, but God worked it all out and now we have a 2007 Kia Sportage! It is sooooo nice and we are so grateful!

Well, I will sign off...it's time for church! Hope everyone is doing great...and HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all our American friends out there! Unfortunately it is just another week around here...no time off or anything! Hope you enjoy the turkey! Christmas is just 32 days away!!!

GO HABS!

This past weekend, Anson and I went with Eric and Melissa to Buffalo! We went to the Montreal/Buffalo game and had a great time--in spite of the fact that it was a HORRIBLE game and Montreal lost! We ate at the Cheesecake Factory and shopped for Christmas presents! There were more Canadians there than Americans, I think, because of the dollar! It was interesting to stand in line behind people from Scarborough and in front of people from Toronto! You would have thought we were at home! The guy at the border rolled his eyes in disgust at our spending...but he still let us through (Thank the Lord!! He was really grouchy, and we were sure we were getting pulled over!). It was a fabulous weekend away!

OUR BEAUTIFUL GIRLS

Aimee got a new hat so we decided to take a few pictures outside! Chloe came too and actually smiled!! It was a miracle:) I think these pics are so adorable!

CRISPY'S WEDDING SHOWER

Crispy had her church shower in October and it was BEAUTIFUL! Aimee came with me and had a great time...she even brought "Fuzzy", her bunny from Build-a-Bear, dressed in a miniature wedding dress that my mom bought for her!!

CRAZY CHLOE...

Chloe often wakes up with some serious bed head!! One day she came out with her purse and one shoe on....a few minutes later she traded it all in for Daddy's hat (which she put on backwards all by herself!). Such a silly girl she is!

HAPPY CANADIAN THANKSGIVING!

For Thanksgiving this year we spent the Saturday with Anson's family and then the Monday with my family! We had our turkey dinner on Saturday and then on Monday we went out for breakfast with my family. It was actually so much fun to go out and not have a big huge meal! It was a totally relaxing Thanksgiving! And everyone should go to Cora's for breakfast sometime....YUM!!!

SOME RANDOM STUFF!!!!!

Ages ago (because I am so terrible at keeping this blog up to date!), we went to a Oshawa Generals hockey game! It was lots of fun...! Anson & I also chaperoned the freshman banquet at the college (which makes me feel incredibly OLD!). We had venision burgers--which I ate and Anson would not!!! My sister and I took lots of pictures...but I won't include all of them!

SWIMMING LESSONS

Aimee started swimming lessons this fall and she is doing so great!! I haven't taken too many pictures, but here are a couple. There are only 3 little girls in her class, so that is nice! The second picture is of Aimee with her head under the water...which is a miracle for her! She goes under all the time now without plugging her nose or closing her eyes!

LUNCHTIME!

Awhile ago, I caught the girls making their own lunch! Guess I was a bit slow or something:) I let them continue so I could take some pictures!
