"GUESS WHAT AIMEE DID WHILE YOU WERE TEACHING?"

I had just finished teaching some lessons and Anson greeted me with those words as I walked up the stairs. Because my children never do anything wrong (!), I thought perhaps Aimee had done something wonderful. I calmly asked what she did and Anson told me that she cut her hair. "It's okay," I thought, "her little scissors wouldn't cut much." I then asked what scissors she used and was told that she did NOT use her scissors...she used the good scissors. I went upstairs to find Aimee in her beautiful Cinderella dress sobbing on her bed--I think she knew she was in serious trouble. Her hair was chopped...the front is super short, some of the back is gone and then some of the back is still long. MY SISTER'S WEDDING IS IN THREE WEEKS. I started to panic and even cry a little. I was ready to just cut the rest all off, but Anson insisted that I shouldn't touch it. I packed Aimee up into the car and took her to Expressions, the Salon (they'd probably charge me $40 to cut her hair, but I didn't care!). They looked at her hair and said there was nothing they could do. They trimmed the long side a little so it wasn't as obvious but told me to try to curl it and see what I could do until the wedding! We went home and I started curling! I got it up and it looked cute...PRAISE THE LORD! Now we just have to deal with it for three weeks and then it is getting cut...and Aimee will never be touching another pair of scissors again--possibly for the rest of her life.

Here are the pics...pardon the Doritos, etc in the bathroom! At least the mullet is sort of back in style:)

AFTER A LOT OF CURLING:

I'm glad you were able to cover it! I couldn't imagine! I just seems that kids do something like that right before something really important!!

Ok... I have a big fear of this with Emma. It looks pretty bad in the first picture, but looks nice after you curled it. I guess you'll be doing alot of curling in the next few weeks.

This must be a prerequisite for little girls being at important events--Our little Hope did this twice--both 3 weeks before December weddings-two years in a row! She now has short hair! :) You did a great job curling it up!

Ok...so I'm wondering did you get her hair cut after the wedding? How did the wedding go?

Maddie cut her hair recently but only a little. I can't imagine how you felt. It does look pretty in the picture of it curled. Thank the Lord for bobbie pins!
