SUMMER PICTURES....

In July, Anson and I went on a road trip with my sister and her new husband, Matt!! We went for three nights and went to Pennsylvania and New York City and then home again. There are a lot of pictures, so enjoy:)

We left a little after 5 AM to drive the 9 hours to Pennsylvania. We were going to see "In the Beginning" and had to be there by 4 PM!

My crazy sister brought all kinds of fruit with her, but since you can't take fruit over the border she decided to try to eat it all---when we were about 2 minutes from the border! There was no way it was gonna happen!
Matt is telling her that she is never gonna finish them in time!

Outside after the play! When it was done, we got back in the car and drove to Princeton, New Jersey for the night.

The next morning we went to see Princeton University. It was a magnificent campus...and extremely large!

We left Princeton and went to our hotel, checked in, and then headed into New York City for the rest of the day!

The All Star game had been two nights before so there were Statues of Liberty everywhere! We took pictures of all the ones that we saw!!

The guys with their fake Stanley Cups!

The guys leaving Trump Tower where we stopped for our millionth Starbucks run of the day! It was over a hundred degrees when we were there....SO HOT! But, at least we had my sister's starbucks discount to help us out:)

Our hotel in New Jersey just across the water from the city...one of the nicest hotels ever! And a great deal thanks to hotwire!

My sister wasn't with me, but I had to get a picture with one more statue!

We went to the Yankees game!

We were sitting right behind the Oakland A's bullpen, and my sister and I spent most of the time waving and trying to get their attention!

Greg and his dad were from California and came to the game! Greg got the guys in the bullpen to throw him a ball. So CAB told him to get her one too....he finally did! And then awhile later he got another ball from them and gave it to me:) We were SOOO excited!! When the game was over I pulled out my black Sharpie--that just happened to be in my purse--and yelled and yelled, but couldn't get my baseball signed:( Oh, well...it made for an exciting night!!!

The subway was unbelievably packed. There was barely room to breathe and half the time you were stuffed underneath some guy's sweaty armpit. YUCK! It started to become hilarious though as the entire car would erupt in cheers when someone got off at a stop...."We lost one....We lost one!"

We got back to our hotel around 1 AM and had to leave for our next hotel which was about half an hour away...it was worth it though because I bid on priceline for it and we got the rooms for $35 each. What a deal!! And...it was a very nice hotel (the Hyatt Regency). We had a great time on our little trip...and recovered from our major lack of sleep eventually!!!

THE SIMPLY WOMAN'S DAYBOOK

I stole this from someone else's blog! I thought it would maybe force me to say something today!! Enjoy....

Outside my window...
it is dark and quiet!

I am thinking...that I am tired of watching the election coverage:)

I am thankful for...my family! I love them all more than anything:)

From the kitchen... Aimee's lunch is begging to be made, but I just don't feel like getting up.

I am creating...the missionary gift lists for missions conference

I am going...to the gym in the morning and maybe having lunch with Natasha:)

I am reading...nothing....can you believe it??? I can't even believe that I am not in the middle of a book.

I am hoping...that the laundry will fold itself

I am hearing...Anson cheering when a Conservative wins a riding. I think he thinks it's a football game!

One of my favorite things...my girls. They often drive me crazy....yet, I love them so much.

A few plans for the rest of the week...cleaning, piano lessons, missions conference plans, church, etc...

Well, that's my post for the next month! Ha.....one of these days, I'll post again:) Hope everyone is well.

JUST A NOTE

I am still really behind in my picture updating from the summer, but I decided that I should just move on instead of trying to get everything posted in order!! I will still post our vacation pictures and some videos, but I need more time because I have about a million pictures to choose from!!

If anyone else has a blog who reads this, please let me know the link so I can add it to the side of my page! Thanks....

AIMEE GOES TO SCHOOL

Aimee started Kindergarten last week! She was so excited to FINALLY go to school! She came bounding out of bed that morning and ran to my room jumping up and down. She got to pick her breakfast and chose chocolate chip pancakes. Normally she eats lots of pancakes, but she only ate one! I asked her if she was nervous about school and she looked at me really strange and said, "What would I have to be nervous about?" Chloe and I went to school to drop her off and take pictures! After we said bye, Chloe kept asking where her class was!

Aimee has had three days of school so far and life has been so quiet at home!!! I can't believe how quiet Chloe can play all by herself in her room. Even though she is happy to play alone, I know that she misses Aimee lots. She didn't wake up in time to say bye to her this morning and was very upset!

It is hard to believe that we have a kid old enough to go to school....but we do! We were just talking last night about bringing Aimee home from the hospital, so I thought I'd post a few pictures of her growing up before the ones of her in school. Hope you enjoy them!
