THE WORLD'S LONGEST POST....OUR VACATION TO FLORIDA!!

In July we went away for a week to Florida! We had such a great time last summer that we went to the same place this year! I took a total of 598 pictures, so even though there a lot of pictures in this post--there could have been so many more!!!! Hope you enjoy...and if you read this, please comment! NO ONE COMMENTS...:)
The girls didn't look so happy as we left for Buffalo! I am not sure what the problem was, but they refused to smile!

Chloe had just looked outside our hotel room and she saw the pool! She turned to Anson all excited! I just think it's such a cute picture!

All of us in our hotel in Buffalo! And yes, we have a timer...(one of my friends asked if we had someone come into our room to take a picture!!! EWW!)

Chloe loves the cheesecake factory (and so do we!).

Chloe looking out the window flying from Buffalo to JFK. Praise the Lord she was really good on all our flights! She was quiet and played and slept--oh and ate A LOT of snacks!!

Aimee "smiling" on the plane!

New York City from the plane! I love how you can see Central Park!

After we landed in Fort Lauderdale we had to wait for Anson to get the rental car. Chloe was very hyper and Aimee was very grouchy! We were all hot and sweaty.... but happy to be there!

The girls jumping on the bed in our room!

Anson and Chloe at our new favorite restaurant, "Grand Lux Cafe"! It is owned by the same people as the Cheesecake Factory, but it's even better--if you can imagine! They have made to order desserts. You have to order them half an hour ahead of time. One night we got a dozen fresh baked, warm cookies! Then another night (yes, we ate there about 4 times!), we got a fresh baked apple pie!! SO GOOD!!!

Me & Aimes at the Grand Lux! Chloe stuck her tongue out in the picture before, so Aimee just HAD to copy!

Anson wanted a picture with our rental car...a Cadillac CTS! It was pretty nice...we were sad to leave it:(

A beautiful Florida sunset!

Sign near our place!

The fountain at our resort!

We went to Butterfly World and had so much fun! There were thousands and thousands of butterflies! I was shocked how many there were. Aimee tried diligently to get them to land on her, but they never did. It was a lot of fun! They had a bird part too where we got to hold the birds! Chloe wasn't interested, but Aimee let them land on her (for those who know Aimee--it was a miracle!)

Chloe being silly with her chicken nuggets at McDonalds!

The girls had such fun by the ocean! I was so surprised by how much Aimee liked sitting in the sand and letting the waves hit her! Chloe did not appreciate the taste and was always trying to wipe the salt off her tongue:)

The beautiful Florida sky as we were driving one day!! I'm pretty sure it was about to storm:)

We decided to get up early one day and drive all the way down to the bottom of the Keys. So we left at 6 AM and went to the beach to see the sunrise (Anson didn't think I'd actually get up--but I did!!!) It was beautiful and so peaceful!
The sun coming up!

When we got to Key Largo Anson went snorkelling, and the girls and I set out searching for something to do for 3 hours! I found a park and when I was turning into the parking lot I saw a big YMCA building that had a kids water park! It was so cool...except for the 3 day camp buses full of kids that were there already! The girls had a great time and didn't want to leave--even after over 2 hours!! Aimee made friends like she does everywhere, so they wanted their picture taken together! I wouldn't let Chloe go down the slides alone (and I was too heavy to be allowed to take her!), and she wasn't impressed! She just "swam" on the bottom instead!! We had a great time!

Bahia Honda State Park in the Keys! On one side of the park is the ocean and on the other side is the Gulf of Mexico!

Bottom of the USA!!

Sunset in the Keys...they are supposed to be the most beautiful with so many colours! This was as good as it got! I was a bit disappointed and decided that I didn't like Key West. Anson very kindly reminded me that it wasn't really the Keys fault that the sunset wasn't amazing:) He is so helpful!!

Driving back from Key West! It didn't seem that long on the map, but when there is only one road in and one road out, it takes a long time! Plus the speed limit is 40 mph! We left that morning at 6 AM and got home at 2 AM--but we had a fun day!

Aimee digging in the sand! She loved searching for sea shells!!

The girls were always so tired after a day in the sun!!

Me & Aimes downtown Fort Lauderdale

Aimee wanted to take a picture by the lion for Papa! Papa and Gramma's family room is decorated with lions, so she was so excited when she saw this lion! We found another one a bit later and had to take a picture by that one too!

We went on a boat tour and saw lots of HUGE houses...one just sold for 18.5 million! I took all kinds of pictures of them when we were told which movies were filmed there or what famous people lived in them, but now I can't remember which house is which!! Oh, well...it was still neat to see!

All week Chloe would rarely smile at the camera, but on the morning we were leaving she brought me the camera and said, "Cheese!" I took the opportunity to take her picture with Aimee...since she was so eager!

Anson & Aimee by the resort sign!

Me & the girls at the fountain! (Chloe tried to climb right in the fountain for a swim!)

Saying "Bye" to Florida (snif, snif)!

We flew from Fort Lauderdale to JFK in New York City and then had to change planes to fly to Buffalo. We already had a 3 1/2 hour layover before our flight, but then it kept getting delayed! We sat at JFK for a really really long time!! We were supposed to get home at 8:50 PM, but we had just got onto the plane by 8:30 finally!! We thought we were on our way, but once we got on we sat there, and sat there, and sat there! We finally took off 2 hours later at 10:30! It was crazy....but the girls were so good the entire time! I couldn't believe how well behaved they were (everyone hates a crying or loud kid on an airplane!!!). We finally arrived at the Buffalo airport, got our car, and began our drive home...

We finally made it home at 2:48 in the morning! We were a bit tired for church the next day, but we were happy to get home:) We had a fabulous time and are already thinking about next summer's vacation!

Looks like you had a fun time! I have never been to the Cheesecake Factory. What is it like? Is there one in Michigan?
